Saturday's Living Water

As I type, I wonder how I can encourage each of you to stay diligent with these daily readings. To press on through the distractions that can pull us away. Today’s verse talks once again about faith. That theirs is growing more and more. Yet when we keep reading we see there are persecutions and trials going on and they are enduring. If your days have trials, tuck this verse in your heart and reflect back on it. Slowly read it again and again. They were enduring and their love was growing. What an example for us. Be encouraged. Stay the course!

Scripture
-

We ought always to thank God for you, brothers, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love every one of you has for each other is increasing. Therefore, among God's churches we boast about your perseverance and faith in all the persecutions and trials you are enduring.
2 Thessalonians 1: 3-4

Meditation - Take some time to reflect on the words and phrases in the text. Which words, phrases or images speak to you most?

Prayer - Offer the internalized passage back to God in the form of a personalized prayer of adoration, confession, renewal, petition, intercession, affirmation, or thanksgiving.

Contemplation - What word or image captures the spirit of the passage for you?

Friday's Living Water

Scripture-

For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But if anyone does not have them, he is nearsighted and blind, and has forgotten that he has been cleansed from his past sins.
2 Peter 1: 5-9

Wednesday Living Water

His Word, written for instruction so that we might have hope. How has your daily drink into His Word been? We will always take something with us, something that will mold us and shape us. A moment taken will never be a waste of time because He will be there to meet with you. Yes, you! He waits!

Scripture-

For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction,
so that through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures
we might have hope.
Now may the God who gives perseverance and encouragement
grant you to be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus,
so that with one accord you may with one voice
glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Romans 15: 4-6
